I watched the video. Are they really closing? I couldn't find anything about closing the program on their website. Also, I didn't see any blogs with CWA mentioning it.
I agree they have a horrible reputation, but I wonder if they are DEFINITELY finally closing the agency.
I also heard this from several, unrelated, and pretty reliable sources. Celebrating for sure, but also wishing it were for some sort of ethics enforcement and not bankruptcy.
yes, I was wondering/hoping that, and maybe some families were hearing all the warnings and taking their business elsewhere. I was told from my awesome lawyer that there really was no point in a lawsuit but if a lawsuit can lead to this maybe it is worth looking at it again ...
Good riddance! They have an office in my city and I chose to go with an agency from several states away instead. I went to their office and just got bad vibes. This was before I even knew how bad they were!
If they are declaring bankruptcy, they are probably taking the life savings of many families. Who had great hopes and dreams, but a bad choice in agencies, but sad because for many of them, they won't get a second chance. I'm glad this agency is going away, but would be much better to be closed for ethical reasons and have to refund money than to declare bankruptcy and walk into the sunset with people's life savings.

There were several messages about it on EthiopiaAdopt (yahoo group) beginning early this morning. It seems they are declaring bankruptcy.

Well, maybe the lawsuits against them bankrupted them.
