This site is a wonderful resource for adoptive families: http://ethiopianadoptionblogs.blogspot.com/
Thank you so much, Cindy, for creating and maintaining it. There are currently about 1400 blogs listed on this site.
I am reading all of them.
Unless the agency or blog has the words "Christian," "Jesus" or "God" in the title, in which case I feel comfortable skipping it because we won't have much in common.
: )
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me smile. Glad you are enjoying them. Luckily if you rule out the ones with religious titles there are a lot fewer of them to read!
Just came across your blog! I'm Meg and my husband and I are with WHFC waiting for sibs with WHFC. I have a blog at by-dirigible.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteWe're a non-religious couple in Chicago so we fit your criteria =)Ha!
Hi Meg! I think I may have seen your posts on one of the yahoo groups. Talking about ethics in IA... do I have the right person?
ReplyDeleteI'm another nonreligious adoptive mama of two amazing daughters. Our voice may not be as loud but there are several of us around.
ReplyDeleteMeg and Kerri, I have spent the better part of the afternoon reading your blogs. I know I'm going to be learning a lot from you.
ReplyDeleteHey again, I love the commenting back and forth! Seriously, I don't know what I would do without the internet... Yes, I have replied a few times on the Big Boards, I always get a little freaked out when some unsuspecting family is heading toward a terrible agency... Thanks for dropping by my blog, it's such a great way to connect with other PAPs.
ReplyDeletethis post cracks me up! we are religious, but this had very little -ok, nothing- to do with our adoption and the zealots in the adoption community who fundaise for their adoptions calling it a "ministry" and posing it as a humanitarian effort drive me CRAZY. So, I don't blame you for distancing yourself. I have myself lately. Yes, I believe in God. But I am no wacko. I think your blog is great!
