Well, it's official. We will NOT be appearing in court on this trip. We know who has put all the Burji adoptions on hold, but we don't know why and I won't speculate on a public blog. It's a relief in a way, at least we know it's not going to happen and don't have to keep waiting for "maybe tomorrow." We're heading back to the U.S. to await further news there.
About the comments on this and other posts, I really appreciate your saying I'm dealing with this well but I don't feel like I am dealing well at all.
ugh. You have taken it better than I would have... I thought you were already home with the last post. Did any other couples show up and not get to go to court? Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteYou do seem to have a great attitude about this. I am looking forward to hearing more about the situation and hoping that it can be resolved fairly quickly.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you guys are going through this. And even though it won't go on forever and things will work out, this stinks and you don't have to handle well.. Just handle it how you handle it. We are thinking of you here. It will all be part of your story to tell your boys one day. They'll probably want to hear it over and over!
ReplyDeleteThis stinks, I mean seriously sucks. I am so sorry. Although Kim is right, what a story for your boys, not to mention one day how important it might be for them to know that you came all the way over there even with the possibility of not going to court, but to see them, their country...this is a HUGE act of love and they will see this. I am so sorry you guys are going through this and you continue to be in our thoughts here.
ReplyDeleteKyra I am so so sorry that you are having to go through this. I can not begin to imagine how hard this has got to be. Please know that you and Tad and the boys are in my thoughts constantly, hoping for resolution soon, thinking of you and sending you my love always, Anne
ReplyDeleteYou have my permission to punch in the nose anyone who says, "Things happen for a reason" or "This is all a part of God's plan." Hoping for the best for all of you.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear this, Kyra! This process is so unpredictable! Does this mean that you will have to go back for another court date and then an embassy trip as well, for a total of 3 trips? Or will court proceed without you before you go back for your embassy appointment?

ReplyDeleteI feel the same way when people tell me that! Love you cousin.
