It was a little frustrating when I realized that we could not apply for any grants since we are not religious. When I started this journey I did not realize how many religious people adopted. Good luck with your fingerprints. Ours came back super fast so I will keep my fingers crossed for your guys. -KalaScott and Kalahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04325620185694078617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-603400846504081911.post-14555218814385599052011-01-09T11:52:20.475-05:002011-01-09T11:52:20.475-05:00Kyra, I responded to your comment on Liz's blo...Kyra, I responded to your comment on Liz's blog.

Congrats on getting further in the process.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-603400846504081911.post-1543508373406624742011-01-09T09:42:12.099-05:002011-01-09T09:42:12.099-05:00I don't know that much about Gladney, but I wo...I don't know that much about Gladney, but I would think the wait times with WHFC have to do with the sheer number of people on the waiting list. They waited 9 months for a referral and are traveling next week for court. Since I've been waiting 11.5 months for SIBLINGS (which I thought would happen sooner), I was bummed about it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-603400846504081911.post-28867966719348344862011-01-08T17:30:35.499-05:002011-01-08T17:30:35.499-05:00We really struggled with this statement as well. ...We really struggled with this statement as well. "Just a gut feeling" didn't seem like enough, and since we haven't struggled with fertility issues, we couldn't go that way either. A local family who adopted through Gladney also got an infant in about 8 months... why is Wide Horizons' time so much longer? Do they work in fewer places than Gladney?Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01649845469609235886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-603400846504081911.post-14267585152048515962011-01-08T11:58:02.532-05:002011-01-08T11:58:02.532-05:00Agreed.

I know everyone is different and that faith is important to many people, but I agree with you...I don't know how this statement is just accepted in the Statement of Reason.Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02128971635435536692noreply@blogger.com
